WHAT IS EZ-LINK CARD?
It is a contactless smart transport card that allows you to use the MRT, LRT, buses, and taxis in seconds! You just need to tap and go. In my opinion, it is a lot more convenient than carrying around change and coins.

Previously, Ezlink card helps us to pay our transport fees only. But now, this powerful card allows us to pay the charges of many other things, including ERP, shopping, dining, and governmental service fees.

HOW TO USE EZ-LINK CARD?
Once you purchase your ez-link card, you can use the credit at any of the locations and services listed on this page. Make sure to tap your ez-link card on the designated card reader until you hear a ‘beep’ sound.

Your card comes preloaded with 5 or 7$ credit, depending on where you purchased it. Word of advice; you always must have a minimum of $3 to use the ez-link card. If the stored value is below that, you will be required to top it up at any of the island-wide top-up points.

There’s a variety of ways in which you can add money to your card, such as self-service machines at all SMRT and SBST/NEL stations, online, through the EZ-Link mobile app, customer service counters at MRT stations, or 7-Eleven and Cheers convenience stores. If you would like to set up auto-top up, you can sign up here, or apply at the AXS stations.

I also suggest that you download these two apps to benefit from your ez-link card:

  • Download the EZ-link Activate app on your smartphone to track your transaction history, check your balance, block your card if you lose it, or deregister cards. I find this incredibly convenient when my balance is too low, so I am not stuck with no credit while trying to catch the MRT!
  • Earn rewards as you travel with your ez-link card! All you have to do is link your card to the Perx app on your smartphone, and earn points for every trip you make. Once you have collected enough points, you can redeem them for a variety of rewards. If you’re a frequent traveler like me, you can gain rewards in no time!
