Public Speaking Academy

Public Speaking Academy in Singapore has been preparing kids for public speaking through regular classes and boot camps since 2009. It’s headed by Darren Tay, the founder and master trainer with a background in law. The academy aims to prepare future leaders with charisma and strong communication skills.

Highlights

Phased learning designed for kids of different age groups: The regular courses with weekly classes are designed according to the age group of the children and focus on various aspects of public speaking. Tay and other professionals at the academy focus on linguistics, body language, and confidence throughout the one-year course.
Intensive holiday camps: In addition to the regular year-long course and one-on-one training, children can join two-day intensive public speaking camps offered several times a year. The camp syllabus has six domains: body language, class presentation, charisma (dealing with stage fright), interview mastery, impromptu speaking, and oral exam.
Professional trainers with extensive public speaking experience: The trainers, including the Master trainer Tay, have had years of experience in public speaking. Tay is Singapore’s first World Champion of Public Speaking. Other trainers have university degrees and teaching experience.
