Organised by Runninghour, Run for Inclusion 2023 returns for its ninth edition, bringing back its signature Blindfold Walk after a three-year hiatus. Held once again at Singapore Turf Club (STC), Kranji, the annual event gathers individuals from all walks of life to run alongside persons with special needs (PWSNs) and provides more opportunities for PWSNs to engage in physical activities.
The event aims to promote the integration of PWSNs into mainstream society through inclusive sports. Featuring walking, running and cycling categories, participants can choose varied distances – personalised distances of up to 3km or 5km run or walk, 10km run and 18km cycling category (including tandem cycling to accommodate PWSNs)
To enhance the experience this year, Runninghour is bringing back its signature Blindfold Walk/run segment for the first 1km. Participants can wear a blindfold for the first 500 metres, paired with a sighted person, before swapping roles for the next 500 metres.
Run for Inclusion continues to receive support from notable partners such as Central Singapore Community Development Council, Japanese Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Singapore Sports Hub, Singapore Turf Club, SportCares, and more.
