Tang Music Box KTV Review

Despite being a new KTV spot, Tang Music Box has been becoming a wonderful place to hang around for karaoke lovers in Singapore. This KTV has been praised by customers for its wonderful ambience in a new concept.

HIGHLIGHTS:

• A cool new concept of karaoke entertainment: At Tang Music Box, you will not only enjoy singing but also have fun shopping for your favourite snacks between karaoke sessions and socializing with like-minded people at the main hall, named The Meeting Place.
• Excellent service: At Tang Music Box, the service staff is very professional, friendly, and efficient. They always attend quickly to customers’ requests and offer blankets if customers are cold.

SONGS: Tang Music Box offers a great range of songs in various languages including English, Mandarin, Cantonese, Korean, and Japanese.

KARAOKE SYSTEM: The KTV uses top-notch karaoke equipment from BMB, providing customers wonderful quality sound in all rooms.

KARAOKE ROOMS: The place has 25 rooms catering to all group sizes from small groups of 1 to 3 persons to large groups of 30 to 40 persons. Medium and big rooms are equipped with pool tables.

AMBIENCE: Tang Music Box karaoke rooms are nicely decorated with different themes and well- furnished, using modern and classy furniture.

LOCATION: The KTV is strategically located at Clarke Quay, one of the best nightlife areas in Singapore.

NOTE: Besides the room cover charge, Tang Music Box charges a KOD (copyright) fee of S$5 per person.

The Rice Table

The Rice Table is where Indonesian a-la-carte buffet is served for lunch and dinner. This restaurant is a famous culinary destination for enjoying Indonesian food in Dutch Rijsttafel style. Sampling numerous dishes until one knows which dishes he loves most, this way of having foods was created by the Dutch who approached Indonesian food with a caution. Today, The Rice Table presents its rijsttafel to diners in its own way – small portions of many different dishes are served up on a food warmer to let diners have the foods warm as much as possible.

HIGHLIGHTS:

• The unique concept of Dutch Rijsttafel – a good way to explore Indonesian cuisine: For those who are new to Indonesian food, the Dutch Rijsttafel concept (literally means rice table) is the best chance to taste a wide variety of Indonesian fare at one single visit. A table filled with an array of meat, poultry, seafood and vegetable dishes plus sambals and sauces to be taken with rice, it is how a rice table meal is uniquely defined. FEATURED DISHES
At The Rice Table, a lot of Indonesian staples are on offer. Among them, Sate Ayam (chicken satay), Tahu Telor (tofu omelet), and Daging Rendang (spicy beef stew) are outstanding. Besides, Kangkong Belachan (spicy fried kangkong), Perkedel Jagung (potato corn fritter), Rudjak Manis (Indonesian fruit salad), and Ikan Goreng (fried fish in spicy- sweet sauce) are delicious enough to be on the good side.

LOOK & FEEL
This small simply decorated restaurant has a cozy atmosphere. Played at the background, traditional Indonesian gamelan music brings true Indonesian vibes to the restaurant.

MINUS POINTS

• At peak meal hours, it is hard to get the servers’ attention.
• Desserts and drinks are not included in the paid amount for the buffet.

NOTES

• Reservation is highly recommended.
• Diner coming alone is only accommodated at non-peak hours.

Ten Dollar Club KTV @ Chinatown Review

If you are a genuine karaoke lover, Ten Dollar Club is the best choice for you. With cheap prices and a casual environment, Ten Dollar Club has attracted a huge number of karaoke lovers in Singapore.

HIGHLIGHTS:

• Offering good karaoke experience at affordable prices: With a group of 3 or more, we can enjoy singing karaoke at Ten Dollar Club for up to 5 hours in the afternoons or 3 hours in the evenings at only S$10 per person. This price includes a free flow of hot and soft drinks.
• Outside foods are allowed: We are allowed to bring our own foods in karaoke rooms but not the outside drinks.
• There are snooker pool tables for all guests to play: American pool tables are available at the main halls of all outlets, S$2 per game.

SONGS: Ten Dollar Club offers a wide range of popular songs including Kpop, Jpop, Mandopop, and Cantopop songs.

KARAOKE SYSTEM: The KTV uses a fully computerized karaoke system. Its sound system is not as great as its counterparts, indeed, but it is acceptable.

AMBIENCE: Although Ten Dollar Club decor is outdated, its warm-themed decorating provides customers a cosy and pleasant atmosphere.

SERVICE: Ten Dollar Club service is inconsistent.
