State Swim originated in Australia, founded in 1976 by former Australian National Swimming Coach, David Urry. It later expanded globally and opened its first international branch at Suntec City in Singapore in 2018.

The academy teaches children as young as six months old, emphasizing safety and technical proficiency in their lessons.
